Today I pulled two dogs from a shelter and transported them to their new boarding kennel, where they will await the transport up north later this week. One was a boxer, just a normal size and normal boxer disposition. Didn’t like the kennel that he needed to ride in, but nothing out of the ordinary. Now Mr. Rott was a different story. This dog weighted in at near or more than 150 lbs, not fat, just big. Muscle big. From the one photo that turned out not blurry, you can see that he was bigger than the extra large kennel that I needed to fit him into. Not much, but still bigger. We got him in using two catch poles, which really didn’t piss him off to much, just a little. We got him in and he was not a happy camper. Believe me, there is nothing like a 150 lb Rottie that is pissed. We survived the trip and for the off load we just took him, kennel and all, to his new kennel and put him in front and opened the door. And out he walked to his temporary home. I can tell this boy is used to having his own way and I bet he gets it. I made some recommendations for loading when the time comes for his trip up north. Whether they listen or not I won’t know, but they should listen to someone or they will be listening to the Rottie. You can bet on that.<\/p>\n
