A rescue finally talked them into releasing Charlie so he may have at least a chance of a better life. He was in good shape physically but he was desperate for someone, anyone, to pay attention to him. Socialized?\u00a0Not so much. The family didn&#8217;t understand\u00a0that they were doing anything wrong. The dog was fed, watered and he could move around &#8211; <em>IN A 5 FOOT CIRCLE<\/em>. What more could he possibly want? Geez, where do you start explaining that there is much more to a dog than that. I told them they might consider a potted plant instead of any animal that needs so much more than what they were willing to give. Charlie&#8217;s continuous and never ending barking, and the resulting upset neighbors, was their undoing and Charlie&#8217;s salvation. He is now out and has been vetted; then a short stay in boarding will be his last time in a strange place. Soon he will be at a rescue who is known for the care and unending love they have provided to many others.
