It was 105 degrees there so I drove around and found a shady spot under some trees in a church parking lot. Nice and quiet and peaceful. For a while. Two of Baldwin Park&#8217;s police cruisers pulled up and said the owner of the property objected to us being there as she didn\u2019t want any pit bulls on her property. I explained that we were just sitting in the shade, trying to beat the heat and the dogs would not be let out to walk around and wouldn\u2019t bother anyone. After I explained that I rescue and transport the dogs to find homes out of state, she calmed down a bit and the police handled it very well. And they were very nice and polite. I will say that she was terrified of poor shadow and there was no way I was going to talk her into giving him a chance. But all ended well with me sitting in the shade and T-Rex in the back wondering what it was all about.
