Last week I learned that the Devore shelter planned on killing this “vicious” little Shih Tzu on Monday after the mandatory quarantine period. The previous owner said he bit her small child in the face and she wanted him dead. Well when a few of us heard this b\/s, we couldn\u2019t believe it. So what to do? We started up a pet trust for him with me as the trustee. This gives legal standing in court. We applied for a TRO from the court, the first hearing was Thursday, we showed up, were told to come back on Friday. We did. TRO denied after the judge listened to the arguments. So we lost that battle and the little guy I am sure was killed as quickly as possible. These people think they answer to no one. A killing machine unto its own. Sure sounds like what took place in Europe in the 40’s. Probably the same type of people worked at both places. I believe we are still going forward with the lawsuit. It hasn\u2019t been decided yet. It should for no other reason than to keep Hope (his name) alive. Maybe he didn\u2019t die in vain. Time will tell.<\/p>\n
