I thought I was done on the day before Christmas Eve since some of the shelters were closed and others had very limited opening time on Christmas Eve, I didn\u2019t think there would be any calls that day. As usual, I was wrong. I received a call from a rescue I had dealt with before wanting a dog out of the South L.A. shelter. Ok, except they’re closed. I would try and get someone on the line if possible and see about a pull later in the week. I gave the staff her number and since she had medical issues they would waive her spay-neuter until 30 days. Would I come and get her now? I had to check with the rescue and they said yes, so off to South L.A. I went. I pulled her and down the road we went to meet up with her rescue and do the hand-off, Then she was on her way to new home and a much better life than she had previously. As you can tell from the photo, she was and had been neglected. I bet she only weighed 5 pounds wet. The two other photos are her at her rescuers house later in the day, not as stressed.<\/p>\n
