Yes, today I did a pull and transport of 6 very lucky ones from a shelter. While I was waiting for the shelter to open, a very nice person approached me with a cardboard box, that I knew contained something. Kittens maybe, it’s that time of year and I have come to expect it. But no, it was a 3-5 day old puppy that he found by a dumpster, discarded like trash; no one caring whether he lived or died until this caring person came along. I knew if the pup was turned over to the shelter, it would be put down right away, so I said give it to me and let’s see if we can save him. I got on the phone and in no time had someone coming by to take him and get him bottle fed like now. In the meantime a lady was in line who fosters at the shelter said she would take him, I said sure (I verified this). The important thing at the moment was to get him fed and be warm. So off he went and I really hope that he will pull through then go on to a much better place than where he came from. I know he will meet better people.<\/p>\n
